Certified Recreation Therapist Consultant (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced, passionate Certified Recreation Therapist to support our growing team.

Required Designation:

  • This role requires you to have obtained the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist® (CTRS) designation.

Responsibilities:

  • This is a consultant position with flexible hours depending on candidate availability.
  • Be a subject matter expert to the team related to Recreation Therapy.
  • Other duties and collaborative projects as assigned.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Certified Recreation Therapist.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Recreation Therapist in the long-term care and/or retirement living sector.
  • 3+ years’ experience using an online recreation tracking software.
  • Must be computer savvy, with advanced computer skills, and the ability to learn new software.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Comfortable communicating internally with a chat system such as Google/Slack/Teams.
  • Strong writing skills, exceptional verbal communication, and high attention to detail are requirements for this role. 
  • Ability to self-regulate and manage stress.
  • Ability to teach yourself new skills, competencies, and find answers on your own.
  • You are eager to pick up the phone, and are able to speak with people at all levels of an organization.

Working Environment:

  • You must have a quiet and private workplace available. Home office where there will be minimal interruptions during working hours. 
  • You need sufficient desk space to support a PC tower and two monitors.
  • You will be responsible for reliable, stable high-speed internet to perform your job.
  • We provide necessary computer equipment such as computer, monitor(s), keyboard, mouse, webcam, and headset.
